My Journey
As a Peruvian immigrant living in San Francisco for nearly 26 years, capturing the beauty, charm, and essence of this city and the Bay Area has been both a privilege and a dream come true. Through my lens, I’ve explored the sweeping vistas of the Marin Headlands, the golden hues of sunrise over the Golden Gate Bridge to the vibrant neighborhoods around San Francisco, every photograph tells a story of resilience, diversity, and charm.
Working closely with local organizations and communities, I’ve had the honor of documenting the heart of this region—its resilience, diversity, and spirit of innovation. This journey is deeply personal; it’s not just about photography but about weaving my own immigrant experience into the narrative of this extraordinary place. Being part of this vibrant mosaic has given me a profound sense of belonging, and through my work, I hope to share the beauty and soul of this region with the world.
I’ve learned to see the city through their eyes—whether it’s documenting a grassroots initiative in Oakland or celebrating cultural festivals in Chinatown. These collaborations not only highlight the region’s rich tapestry but also strengthen the bond between art and advocacy. Through my lens, I aim to honor the spirit of the Bay Area while fostering a deeper appreciation for its vibrant people, breathtaking views, and timeless stories.
